These two look a lot alike.

Since he was born, I've thought Bobby looks like Isaac.  Here are good comparison photos.

Isaac ~4 months

Isaac was chunkier than Bobby, probably because he nursed all night long still at this time.  Bobby's not quite so demanding and sleeps better at night so far.

Like father, like son, and...

 ...like grandson, apparently!  These guys have thoroughly passed down the family hair line gene.

The boys are saying, "What kind of picture is this, where we don't have to look at the camera?"

  

Compare and Contrast

The first two pictures are Drew, obviously (the dimple in the chin gives it away,) but who are the next three? And do you think they look a little like Drew?

The next two pictures are Isaac. I picked these two, because I thought the first one looked a lot like Drew, minus the chin. The second one looks less like him because it shows more of Isaac's head. The two main differences between these boys are the chin and head size and shape. Drew has a more pronounced chin and the adorable dimple. Isaac has a smaller chin, and I remember noticing that when nursing him. Drew has a small head compared to all of my children. I think that is why I thought he looked small when I first saw him. Isaac's secret nickname just between Brian and I is Megamind because he has quite the noggin.

The last picture is my hospital picture when I was born. I don't have a picture of Brian when he was a newborn, but I know Drew got his chin dimple from Brian. The more pronounced chin seems to be from me. The nose and the eyes so far resemble me as well.

Any opinions? I can dig up some of the girls baby pictures too and see how they compare.

Is it just me or is there a resemblance? Same look, right?

Isaac is back to being best buds with his daddy. Brian has had a couple of overnight trips for work lately, and Isaac asks for him all evening long. He thinks every headlight that passes the window is his daddy coming home.

Well, this is a surprise!

Isaac looks a little more like Hannah than I thought. My mom pointed out that this picture of him reminded her of Hannah's smile.

So I dug into the Smith archives and came up with these two pictures of Hannah. What do you think?

(This was Hannah's weird hair phase when the dark curly hair was falling out and the blonde was starting to grow in.)

I still think when his eyes are closed he looks a lot like Genna, but I too was starting to see the similarity in Hannah and his smiles.

In 1984, I was 5 and my sister was 2 1/2. In 2009, (25 years later) Hannah is 4 and Genevieve is 2 1/2. I think this is so crazy! See how my daughters look like my sister and I, and even I look more like my mom than I thought. I would say the biggest differences between these two pictures is not the people but the shag carpet!

This is eerie for anyone for knew my sister when she was little...

Look in the background at Genna! In this first picture, it looks like my sister was photoshopped into this picture with Isaac! I can't believe how much she looks like my sister sometimes, usually when her eyes are closed! Genna has bigger eyes for sure. Can you believe this, Mom? The bangs are even the same style.

Below Isaac has a similar expression that my baby brother used to have when he was a baby, kind of a "Duh" look. :)

New to him!

Hannah (almost 4 months when I busted out the Johnny Jump Up)

Genevieve (just over 4 months when she could hold her head up enough to try it out)

We've had this since Hannah, but it's still new and exciting to Isaac! He's barely three months and is way bigger than both the girls on their first jumping experience.

Almost Three Months

Isaac will be three months on Sunday. I weighed him last weekend and he's over 17lbs now. He's a delightful little boy! He fits so perfectly into our family, like he's had a spot waiting for him all along.

It's time to go into the Smith family archives and see what all the little Smith's looked like at almost 3 months. I picked sleeping pictures this time, and I have to say it was hard to find them of Hannah. She was awake a lot more than Genna and Isaac at this age.

It's funny how different their complexions all are! Hannah's was the darkest, and Genna's so pale. Isaac is redder than Hannah, but closer to her complexion. However, I think it's obvious that he favors Genna more overall. My kid's have progressively been born with less hair. I predicted he would have less than both girls because my indigestion was not as bad during the pregnancy.

I still think Isaac looks quite a bit like Genna! Look!

My Little Buddy

I thought this was cute. He was laying happily under his play gym while I was doing the dishes and the girls were napping. I realized he had gotten pretty quiet and peaked around the corner to find him like this. What an angel! I have just been exceptionally enamored with this little guy today. I can't get enough of his chubby little arms and legs.

This was after bath time. I don't have many pictures of me with my little buddy, so I asked Brian to take a few.

I recalled a picture of Genna looking at me like that. Here it is. Genna was just about the same age too. I love when that happens!The only thing is my hair color mysteriously changed. I wonder how that happened?

I'm going to say he favors Genna more, but it's hard to tell. I'll do this again once he's a bit older and see who he favors then.

Flashback!

Genna put on daddy's new hat the other day, and I instantly remembered Hannah trying on my hat while wearing the same shirt. So, naturally, I snapped a picture. All that know the girls well know that Hannah will nearly always pose for a picture, but Genna does not cooperate quite as often. So the pictures are, by far, not the same!
