The Diaper Memory Game

I bet you're wondering what that could be. Hannah made this game up where you turn over a bunch of diapers just like cards in the game Memory and then turn them over two at a time to try to match the Sesame Street characters on the front. What a goofy girl, but creative!

We started a sticker chart for Hannah this week so getting ready for school will go more smoothly, i.e. without tears. She's really excited about it because if she fills up a block, 5 days worth of stickers, she gets a special treat (watch a movie, have dessert, go somewhere special).

Today at Mass, Genna got several compliments on her lovely Our Father and Hail Mary's (We say the Angelus after daily Mass). They were impressed since she's just 2 years old. She has taken to "reading" the Bible in the car too. She makes up prayers or songs and has me repeat them. It's cute! I love when she sings because it is so funny the way she stretches out the last word.

Last night's bath!

He's starting to enjoy them more and more every time. We don't have any crying now during or after. Here's a couple of very uncharacteristic pictures of Isaac, especially considering this was at the end of the day. He's wiggling, kicking, and smiling! Usually he's relatively still, observing, and serious.

See, here's the boy I know. :)

What a doll! I love these cheeks!

Here they are in their thermal underwear ready for bed! Hannah was so excited to match Isaac.

All you need is love!

Lazy Boy

I think he was going through a growth spurt last week, and he's been catching up on sleep this weekend. In fact, Saturday morning, everyone slept in until 9am! That is a miracle!

Look at his shoes in this next photo. I bought them at a flea market. They are handmade.

Here we had just arrived home from Mass. We went to our village German Mass today because Hannah's kindergarten class (only the 5 year olds in the class) sang songs during Mass and had a Gemuse Markt (Vegetable Market) after Mass to raise money for Kinder im Not (kids in emergency). The kids donate vegetables and then sell them at little tables outside the church. It was cute. We walked to the church and so Isaac was in the Snugli pack and sound asleep the whole time. I unhooked it from me and layed him in his reclining highchair. He just stayed asleep like this for a long time.

I love his hands!

More DaddyTime for the Girls

Brian took the girls to Luxembourg yesterday to see the city and to see some WWII cemetery. They had fun, and Isaac and I enjoyed the peace and quiet at home.
Patton's grave was the main attraction.

Hannah's Mix Up

We've been reading a book about body systems (skeletal, muscular, etc) and she has a particular fondness for the digestive system. She already can tell me where the stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas are on a picture. Anyway, today she was telling us at the table where her food was going after she swallowed. I cracked up when she got to the "big and small intestaments." How adorable!

We have family pictures tomorrow! Our very first professional family pictures, actually! I've been praying for a peaceful family and an awake Isaac so that we get a good picture.
