Houston Trip

The next week after Bob's birthday, we went for a long weekend to Houston to see Brian's family.  His dad has a pool and we pretty much lived in the pool the entire four days.  It was so nice to be able to walk out the door and swim whenever the mood strikes you.  We swam late one of the nights and I think it may have been m favorite day of the entire summer.  Brian and I sat in the hot tub, periodically joined by a kid or two, while the kids played a game altogether called Colors.  Bobby even was a player in the game and liked to jump in with whatever big kid that was out of the water facing away from the swimmers listening to hear if anyone was trying to sneak across the pool.  He would yell, "Violet, Indigo, and Blue" then when no one went he'd yell out "Blue, Indigo, and Violet."  Super cute to watch!  It was just one of those moments when everyone is laughing, having fun, and all are at peace.  Brian and I just sat and enjoyed talking about what a great summer we'd been having and reminiscing.

Gigi and Poppy wanted to celebrate Bob again with a cake so we all grabbed a towel and gathered round to sing to him again.  We had some tired kids, but there were lots of time for relaxing throughout the weekend, watching movies and reading.  Bobby went ahead and took some naps so he could manage to stay up later than usual.
