Part 1: The Family Beach Trip Salvaged

At about 3:30am, we got up on Friday morning and started our drive to Alabama.  The drive thee wasn't too bad.  Everyone was in good spirits and the traffic was almost nil.  We arrived at 6:00pm ish and the fun didn't stop until a week later when we had to get up at 2am to head back.

All my Boys!

Turner's the top, black hatted pirate.
We played on the beach everyday except for one day that was chilly after the hurricane hit Florida we got sprinkles and cooler winds.  That day we played inside most of the day and the girls went shopping.  Every night we played cards, Canasta or Five crowns when all the little ones went to bed.  Wednesday was drew's birthday and he got some presents from Mimi and Papa Boat to open there and we made brownies for breakfast!
Cousins!

Genevieve has such great hair for the beach weather!  She was with all the girls on a shopping trip one of the days.  There was an outlet mall nearby.

Aunt Kristen bought all the boys in the family Superman jammies, but Turner outgrew his and forgot them at home.

I enjoyed this trip a lot because it is the first time EVER that I haven't been pregnant, just had a miscarriage, or had a 1 month old baby on one of our family beach trips since they first began in 2010.  I was able to stay up late, play cards, and not be completely exhausted.

Playing Corn Hole

Bobby would just lay down next to the game and play with the sand.  He was such an easy going dude on this whole trip!  I guess travelin's what he does best!

Poor attempt at a group picture...a little too sunny!

We only had one more glitch in our trip.  Hannah will be doing a guest post here on my blog to tell you all about it. That sounds super official, doesn't it?

Oh my goodness!

Bobby was a big fan of Papa Boat this trip!  They sat together at Drew's birthday dinner at Lulu's.

To be continued...
