What About Bob?

Bobby is really learning so much on his own which is just WON-DER-FUL for a homeschooling mom of many who worries about the younger ones learning enough before they actually get to school age.  He has a love of flash cards.  We have a couple of "hands-on" types (one pop up and one that slides open) that he fancies.  We take them to doctor appointments and on trips because it keeps him busy for a while.  He will just go through them on his own and ask us if he doesn't know one, but he now he knows them all.  He also can recognize all his numbers up to 10.  I have no idea how he knows those because beyond talking about the numbers on the Thomas trains when I read him stories, I haven't even brought out the learn your number games that I made for Drew when he was struggling to learn them by sight.

While I was eating lunch, he just started talking to himself and saying all the letters on his cup.  He also knows a word that starts with every letter.  That started with learning the first letter of everybody in the family long before he recognized them and was furthered by his love of flash cards with pictures on them.
