Sunday Dinners and a Trip to the River Walk

The Saturday after school started we went to the River Walk for the first time with all the kids because some friends were in town and staying at a hotel on the River Walk.  We walked around and had dinner.  It was pretty hot.  We are having a hard time adjusting to the crazy heat.  We came at the hottest time of year after not living anywhere that gets over 100 degrees in the last thirteen years.

Another thing that has been different, but not in a bad way, is that we finally live near family.  I came up with the idea to do Sunday Family Dinners and we had a couple so far where everyone was in town.  The first one was at my brother's house and Bob took a nap in a big bed, cuddling his cousin's Daniel Tiger since I didn't bring his guys he sleeps with.  The big kids played cards and the little ones played ball and in the sprinklers outside.

The next Sunday Family Dinner at my sister's house we staged a copycat of an old photo we had of the cousins all together from four years ago.

Two more kids later and the other kids have grown so  much...
