This morning I was reading at the breakfast table when I heard Genna, who was still in bed, suddenly say loudly, "Look, Alice ate 1, 2, 3 monsters!" Then she said, "I wasn't scared." The conversation continued a moment before I opened the door. She giggled (her usual happy self in the morning) and I asked her if Alice (her stuffed dog that sleeps with her) ate some monsters. She giggled again and said that her Baby (her doll that also sleeps with her) was just playing with Alice and there were some pretend monsters. Apparently her Baby was the one who had said she wasn't scared.
Genevieve has 4 things she sleeps with now and they all have to be in a certain place in the bed. Her original two things that she has slept with since she was a year or so, her Baby (soft Sleeping Beauty doll) and her Nani (a blanket with an elephant head) lay next to her to be placed under her arms on certain sides. Last night I got the sides wrong and she had to switch them before settling in for bed. Then Alice goes on her pillow above her Baby and her Daddy doll (a pillow doll that has her Daddy's picture actually printed on it front and back) goes on her pillow above her head. So particular!
