Other news from the homefront...

We are taking one more week off of homeschooling. This week we are getting ready for Drew's baptism and I am preparing to start school next week. Drew will be baptized by Hannah and Isaac's godfather who is becoming a deacon this weekend as part of his formation for the Jesuit priesthood. Drew will be his first baptism!

The kids picked their saints this week for the All Saint's Day party coming up at the end of the month. Hannah wants to be St. Dorothy of Caesarea because she read about her recently and loved her story. I will be able to use the base of last year's St. Genevieve and turn it into St. Dorothy quite easily. She will be carrying a basket of fake fruit and flowers. Genna wants to be St. Rose of Lima because she is a nun with a fancy rose crown. Need I say more? I can use last year's St. Claire costume and add a couple things for St. Rose. Finally, Isaac wants to be St. George because nothing could be better than being a knight who kills dragons, of course. I can use parts of his St. Michael costume from last year for his new one.
