During our evening prayers, we did an examination of conscience together as Hannah is preparing for her first Reconciliation. Brian was trying to explain how Jesus speaks to us to help us in the face of sin, the little voice in your head that tells you the right thing to do. The kid's responses to this were hysterical.
Hannah said, "I just hear my own thoughts."
Genna said, "I just hear this voice over and over saying, 'I wish Jesus was a girl like me.'"
Isaac said, "I don't hear anything in my head, but when I am hungry my stomach mumbles to me."
I am still laughing about the last one. Deep conversation over.
