Curriculum Plan, Part 1: My Newest Kindergartner

I can not even believe my little Isaac is going to start kindergarten this year.  He has the misfortune of barely making the cutoff for the school year with his birthday being before September 1st.  He completed the 100 Easy Lessons at the beginning of the summer and is reading Easy Reader books now.   He also completed the Kindergarten A book from Singapore last year and is ready for the B book this year.  I try to stretch Kindergarten over 2 years in a way because then the transition to kindergarten is an easier one for all of us.  They are not suddenly having to do a ton of work to keep up.  The work increases gradually.  This has worked with Genna and Isaac so far, and since Drew doesn't make that cutoff for the school year due to his September birthday, I think it will work well for him too.  If he did make the cutoff, I would probably have to go slower with him since he is already way behind where Isaac was in learning the basic shapes, numbers, colors, etc. (I am not worried because physically he is way ahead of where Isaac was.)

I kind of strayed from my topic here which is Isaac and his curriculum for kindergarten.  I have a list of texts or what we are doing for each subject below.  Then I have a sample of Isaac's planner.  I make planners for each of the kids so they can learn to check off their work, know what to expect, and do independent work when I am busy with a baby and/or toddler.  He will need a lot of help with this the first part of the year since it is new to him, but the girls totally get the system now.  The first three weeks of school are going to be less work since I will have a newborn and my mom will be helping with the homeschooling.
