Locked In

Genna managed to get herself locked in the laundry room today! Here in Germany, the doors all have keys. When we moved in they were just stuck in the lock of each door. We went around and took them all out and set them on top of the door. Well, we missed one! We typically have a gate up to keep both the dog and the children out of the laundry room because there is cat litter and other things I like to keep out of reach. Recently, during these terrible twos, I have been putting Genna in there for time out. She is usually upset enough not to go wondering around in there getting into trouble. Today she closed the door during her little tantrum and found the key that we missed. Brian talked her through unlocking it after I had tried many times and he had tried picking the lock with no luck. Whew! Thank God she is safe!
