The results are in...

Everyone loved the new pie crust I tried on the apple pies. Plus, using half Granny Smith and half Pink Ladies was a success too!

My old pie crust was just shortening, flour, salt, and water. But this one had some cake flour, vinegar, and baking soda too, plus it used butter instead of shortening. Go to the link and try it out at Christmas!

When making apple pie, I use 5 or 6 different apples: it always varies but my favorites for pie are macintosh, pink lady, granny smith, red delicious, golden delicious, or what ever apples there are at the store. Try this next time you make a pie, I guarantee sucess! I will have to try this with the pie crust you recommended.
