Coins can drive you nuts!
Hannah has been learning about coins for the last two weeks and is having a hard time adding them together. Her workbook seems to think she should now be able to add two quarters together, but didn't seem to build up to it at all. I can understand adding dimes and nickles since she has learned to count by fives and tens, but adding by twenty-fives hasn't been taught yet. Anyway, this all leads up to the funny thing she said the other day during her math lesson. I had my finger on her 100 number chart and asked, "What do you add to 50 to get to 60?" Hannah replied, "Numbers." My head hit the table.
