We had a wonderful time yesterday with some dear friends at the Dallas World Aquarium! We had not seen our friends since we moved from upstate New York about two and a half years ago. They drove down from Oklahoma and met us for lunch and a day at the aquarium. The kids didn't remember each other at first (Genna was about Isaac's age when we left,) but soon they were the best of friends.
Genna, lately, is always jumping in and asking if I need another picture of a Cute girl. This is her Cute girl pose.
We got to feed these sweet birds blueberries. Genna handed it right to them, but I had to basically hold it for Hannah. She was nervous about it.
The otters are always my kids' favorite because they are so playful.

Here's Genna trying to be motherly to her brother as he picks up a handful of dirt. She is so naturally sweet and kind and loves to care for people, but for some reason it is all lost on Isaac. He doesn't seem to appreciate it most of the time. Hopefully, he'll grow to love it.
The shark tunnel was fun! This time we got to see them feed the sharks and sting rays. Kind of gross, but fun to watch anyway.
My girls decided to have an impromptu drawing session in the Shark tunnel. Hannah made quite the pictures of the sharks and sting rays. Genna drew princesses. :) I guess she thinks that is all she can draw. She needs encouragement to step outside her current capabilities. I wouldn't at all be surprised if that was due to the criticism from perfectionist Hannah when she tries something and doesn't do it just the way Hannah does it.
