I was so very sorry to check the Caring Bridge website for an update on the surgery and find that sweet Baby Catherine did not make it through the surgery. This was a bit of a shock even to the doctors because she had a good prognosis going into surgery. My heart and prayers go out to the Simmons family as they grieve for their nine day old daughter. I can not even imagine.
