Isaac arrived just in time for the Neuer Wein season to start. It is a brief season, so I am glad I don't have to miss it. Neuer Wein, or new wine, is from grapes that have just started to ferment and so the alcohol content is crazy low. This one is the white, but they also have a red. The white tastes a bit like lemonade and the red one tastes like grape juice to me with a hint of alcohol. They are very sweet and a tiny bit sour. It's just another fun thing for us to experience in Germany! With winter comes Glühwein, a hot mulled wine!Tuesday, September 16, 2008
